Executive Roles

The 2012 AGP Executive Committee consists of eight members.  Each member and his or her position responsibilities can be found below:


Presidents

Spencer Andres

Shireen Aslam

Responsibilities:

  • Represent the AGP to the School of Planning, the Faculty of Environmental Studies and the Graduate Student Association
  • Sit on all permanent and ad hoc committees at the departmental level and report regularly on their proceedings at AGP meetings
  • Attend departmental meetings of the School of Planning
  • Act as chairperson at meetings of the Executive Committee
  • Monitor all services of the AGP and be familiar with all of the organization’s operations
  • Be an ex officio member of all AGP committees
  • Serve (when convenient) as one of the co‐signers of the AGP
  • Act as chairperson of AGP general meetings
  • May delegate authority for sections committee and department representation as necessary

Vice President

Daniel Hall

Responsibilities:

  • Represent the President in his/her absence
  • Hold positions on faculty committees, such as the Faculty Executive Council, Faculty of Graduate Studies Committee and appoint members to other standing committees and temporary committees
  • Report regularly on the proceedings of faculty committees at AGP meetings
  • Appoint members to the Graduate Affairs Committee

Finance Coordinator

Jae-Hyun Park

Responsibilities:

  • Keep accurate books of account of the income and expenditures of the general account and the service accounts
  • Appoint and monitor persons to handle services
  • Reports regularly to general meetings on the state of the organization’s finances
  • Report to the President and Executive Committee on all fiscal matters
  • Serve as one of the co‐signers of the AGP
  • Serve as an issuer of the AGP photocopy card

Communications Coordinator

Sonya Devellis

Responsibilities:

  • Collect all materials for general meetings and be responsible for their distribution to the membership
  • Draw up the agenda for general meetings, in consultation with the members of the Executive Committee
  • Record the minutes of all AGP general meetings
  • Maintain an up‐to‐date membership list
  • Establish an Incoming Student Liaison Committee
  • Maintain a file of all relevant materials, and record events regarding the one (1) year term of the exec

Special Activities Coordinators

Rob Rappolt

Responsibilities:

  • Organize the projects and social events of the AGP in co-operation with a Social Events and Projects Committee (SEPC)
  • Serve as a chairperson of SEPC
  • Report regularly at general meetings on the progress of social events and projects

Webmaster

Gavin Williamson
